Dr Simon Taylor is the founder of Ana Nzinga Research and an Extraordinary Research at North West University. In his previous roles he was a Senior Foreign Service Officer for the South African Department of International Relations and Co-operation, and tutor and guest lecturer at the University of St Andrews. He holds a Master of Social Science from the University of Cape Town and a PhD from the University of St Andrews. He has published on a number of topics including: African history, terrorism, diplomacy in Southern Africa, and civil-military relations.
